Why join the Huntsville Ski Club?

...Some reasons that come to mind...

...Trip leaders
take care of all the details... air travel, ground transportation, lodging, lift tickets for ski trips, equipment rental, after hours activities, and trip party; thus, allowing you to concentrate on having fun skiing, biking, hiking and even playing tennis or taking excursions to the Florida beaches.  The Huntsville Ski Club has a very busy social and recreational calendar that includes many cookouts, special holiday parties, and regular social get-togethers.  We are a year-around club so..."It's not all about skiing."  See About Us for more details.

...The Huntsville Ski Club's website is the club's newest endeavor to provide greater access, up to date information and web tools to help plan your trip, event or activity.  Member driven and Board of Director fed.  So if you are wanting more great web present make your voice heard..

...The Flakey News is the club newsletter published monthly to provide the membership with up to date information and a personal perspective on what activities and events are upcoming.

...Ski trips usually include 10-50 people with a wide variety of interests and skiing abilities. Trips are generally mixed with couples and singles, and skiing levels are also mixed, from beginner to expert, with most skiers falling in the intermediate category.  If you have never skied before, the Huntsville Ski Club will help you learn with a "First Time Skiers" reimbursement for your first professional lesson.  See First Time Skier Policy for more details.  Additionally, our expert skiers will mentor you in gaining more confidence in your skiing abilities.  Non-skiers can be found on our trips just to enjoy the camaraderie and the destination.

...Sharing experiences is why members choose to vacation with the Huntsville Ski Club.  Each trip, whether it is a skiing trip or a beach trip to Florida, includes a pre-trip party hosted by the Trip Leader, an opening party at the lodge or a local restaurant; and, for our ski trips, lunch on the ski slope each day and meeting points on the slopes.  This means that there are lots of opportunities to socialize, ski, or bike or hike with others at your skill level.  Of course, you are free to share in activities or not.  Members keep coming back to the HSC preplanned trips because of the friendly, relaxed atmosphere and the great destinations.  As a not-for-profit club, our Trip Leaders bargain with travel agents and lodging companies to pass along savings to our members.  ...and because we focus on resort destinations, our trips are not always the most economical, but our trips offer a unique ski and travel experience to top-quality destinations.

...Membership has its privileges.  As a Huntsville Ski Club member, you will enjoy the benefits of the Crescent Ski Council association, which is maded up of sister ski clubs in the southeastern United States.  Due to this association, both the HSC and associated CSC members can participate in ALL associated club activities no matter which club and without additional membership fees.

...The HSC is the club for you if you like to ski, bike, hike, travel, socialize and to share your experiences with the friendliest people around; or, if you don't ski but you like to be actively engaged in living life to the fullest ...single, couple or family!  If you have any questions about membership, please contact me or any HSC member.  See How to Join for an application and instructions on applying for club membership.  ...See you soon!
