Honorary and Lifetime Memberships HSC Policy-006A
Effective Date: October 28, 2010
The purpose of this policy is to provide a public record of dues exempt Honorary and Lifetime memberships. Honorary memberships are conferred annually based upon meritorious service. Lifetime memberships are conferred once as a perpetual membership based on extended exemplary service to the Club. Regardless of specific reason for each member’s dues free award, memberships must comply with the HSC Constitution.
The Huntsville Ski Club (HSC) Constitution approved August 19, 2009 and recorded January 20, 2010 provides for several different classes [types] of memberships in accordance with ARTICLE IX; MEMBERSHIP AND DUES; Classes of membership. Two dues free types of memberships are defined in the HSC Constitution as follows:
“Honorary Member: A dues exempt membership that the Board of Directors grants to any person or family unit for the year in which it is granted. It will normally be granted because of outstanding benefits that the honorary member has bestowed on the Club.
Lifetime Member: A dues free membership for life for members who have rendered exemplary service to the Club.”
The HSC Board of Directors (BoD) has exercised its powers to elect members of the HSC to this level of membership and these members are denoted below by name or position:

1All Honorary Member membership durations comply with the HSC Constitution or its amended editions and terminate with the end of the membership year (August 31st) and will be reconfirmed during the first BoD meeting of the next membership year.
