A: In times past the editorial staff attempted to keep the FlakeyNews available to as many people as possible with different computers and different software versions, etc. Doing so kept the FlakeyNews larger in file size and a little more difficult to download than would normally be required if everyone was up to date. There was a trade-off and the HSC wanted to accommodate our many members that may not have the latest software. As the FlakeyNews grew in size, editorial staff was still able to do this, however the FlakeyNews has now grown from less than 1MB file size to over 4MB file size making it difficult for many to download in a timely manor. With the FlakeyNews now being saved in the most current version of Adobe Acrobat the file size is much smaller and easier to download. This new file format the FlakeyNews is back under the 2MB file size.
