Bowl-a-Rama and Dinner... August 26

Twelve (12) lanes have been reserved at AMF Parkway Lanes on Memorial Pkwy in HSV between the Huntsville Times building and Arby's, for Sunday afternoon. This is a special price for this party only.  If you have never bowled in the HSC's annual bowling party, or if you have never bowled in your life, you must give this event a try.

Sign up early ...team checks for thirty-six ($36.00) will be accepted at the May 16th General Membership meeting...

We missed you at the beach!

But that did not stop just the four of us from having a great time. The weather was perfect, although a little cool at times for Vonette (duh!). We arrived and checked into our Brighton Towers, 10th floor room with a view, in plenty of time to freshen up before attending the Early Bird Reception at Zulu’s Bar & Grille, a short drive from the hotel.

We will kayak and canoe the upper section of Bear Creek, which has many rapids and beautiful scenery.  You should bring food and beverages for lunch.  You may want to consider placing all items in water proof bags. You should also bring a complete change of clothing as after our adventure on Bear Creek we will drive to Russellville and eat an early supper at the Speedy Pig BBQ restaurant.  Noted for its BBQ dinners and sandwiches.

...Again this year, one of our first outdoor parties/cookouts will be at Ron Paulus' home on Wilson Lake. There will be volleyball, swimming, boating and other outdoor fun activities. This is the yearly event when the Huntsville clan get to meet the Shoals area clan, and we are expecting more than 100 people.  If it rains on our parade, we will have the party anyway and call it ‘liquid sunshine’...

"Oklahoma" is one of the best musicals ever written and Huntsville High is well known for putting on quality musical productions.  If you have never seen this musical, here is your chance.  You will love the songs and you'll be singing them in your car on the way to work or in the shower for weeks to come...
