The Huntsville Ski Club (HSC) is fun loving...

...Originally organized as a snow ski only club, the Huntsville Ski Club has evolved to a year round social and recreational club, with approximately 350 members dedicated to having fun...skiing as well as many other life style activities.  Skiing:  The HSC has a rich tradition - organized and incorporated in 1965, we plan and provides 6-7 ski trips per year to the local region,  Rockies, Canada and Europe; and, perhaps to the southern Americas one day, ... Recreation:   HSC is active! ...with tennis play every Saturday morning, hiking on Sunday afternoons and an aggressive hike near Gatlinburg, Tennessee every October - the club has even hiked the Grand Canyon.  There is biking twice a week for those that enjoy a faster pace.  We plan and organize one or two canoeing, kayaking and rafting white water trips per year to the rivers in the region; and the club has an annual bowling outing (gutter guards in place – just for fun...  Travel: the club plans two trips per year to the Destin, Florida area for Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends; and, a Fall Colors trip to Gatlinburg, Tennessee.   Social:  The HSC has a Super Bowl party, a Chinese New Years Party, a 4th of July party, as well as numerous backyard parties.  Some parties (cookouts) with live music, water sports and just good conversation from May through November, along with First Friday socials and more at local restaurants.  We have an annual membership recruiting party and dance with a great band.  We even had a special new members party at the Huntsville Speedway.  But our gala social event is the annual Christmas dinner dance with live music; a must do.  Each trip and social activity is superbly organized by member organizers.  You can see why when we speak about "The Huntsville Ski Club" - It's not all about skiing...
